Lab-Grown Diamonds

More affordable, more environmentally friendly, and the exact same chemical composition as mined diamonds!

Lab-Grown vs Mined diamonds

Lab-grown diamonds are diamonds developed in a lab, under controlled conditions whereas traditional diamonds are mined from the earth. Chemically and visually, lab-grown diamonds are indistinguishable from mined diamonds. Any diamond’s value comes largely from its rarity, and growing diamonds means they are a renewable item rather than a limited resource. However, because they are developed in a controlled environment, lab-grown diamonds are less likely to have imperfections and blemishes than mined diamonds simply because craftsmen are able to control the process.

Environmentally Friendly!

Lab-grown diamonds leave a 20% smaller carbon footprint than traditional diamonds because no mining is necessary.

Lab-Grown Diamonds, A New and Popular Option

Lab-grown diamonds are a relatively new development, as the technology and means of producing them is becoming more accessible. After the process of growing them is complete, lab-grown diamonds are nearly indistinguishable from traditionally mined diamonds. However, because they are grown and not mined from the earth, lab-grown diamonds are typically less expensive than mined diamonds. It’s common to assume that because they cost less they are less valuable, however, that is not entirely the case. While they are typically priced more inexpensively, this is not due to imperfections or a lack of quality but rather because they are easier to produce.

More and more individuals and businesses are opting towards lab-grown diamonds and in a recent survey, 70% of millennials said that they would consider purchasing lab-grown diamonds over traditionally mined diamonds.
